George Murray

George is a local golfer who was born in Anstruther and after a succesful amateur career turned professional in 2006.  He has recently had enormous success on the European Tour at both Alfred Dunhill Championships.  He finished third at St Andrews in October and second at Leopard Creek, South Africa in November.

George represented Scotland at the Eisenhower Trophy in 2004 and 2006 playing alongside fellow European Tour members Scott Jamieson and Ritchie Ramsay.  After making the cut at the 2006 Qulifying School Final Stage he earned his first full season on the Challenge Tour and achieved moderate success over the next 3 seasons.  He secured his first professional victory at the Scottish Hydro Challenge at Spey Valley in 2010 and this year he has comfortably retainined his full European Tour Card.  When not playing on the Tour, George can often be seen at the GPC honing his skills ready for the next big tournament.

 

 


Krystle Caithness

Krystle Caithness is a rising young star on the Ladies European Tour (LET); she is a life member of St Regulus Ladies Golf Club and is the first representative on the LET to originate from St Andrews, the Home of Golf.

About Krystle

Krystle started playing golf at the age of four and is now in her third season on the professional tour after collecting 5 top 10 finishes in her first 2 years.

Krystle won her LET card in 2009 after finishing equal seventh at Qualifying School.  As an amateur she represented GB&I in the Curtis Cup and Vagliano Trophy and in 2006 she won the prestigious St Rule Trophy.  In her first season on tour, she finished 41st on the Henderson Money List and won the Dubai Ladies Pro-Am, a non-official LET event which prefaced the Dubai Ladies Open.  Last season she again comfortably retained her card with a 31st finish on the Money List which included a runner-up spot in the ABN-AMRO Ladies Open.  Her first win on tour can not be far away.


Paula Creamer

"I am sure all of you junior players associated with St Andrews Links Junior Golf Association realise what a wonderful place you have to play and train. 

I enjoyed spending time both playing golf at St Andrews as well as visiting the Golf Academy.  I hope all of you work hard on your game so you can become the best you can be and who knows, maybe we'll get to play together some day!!

About Paula

Paula started to play golf at the age of 10 and by the time she was 18 she had won on the LPGA Tour. Paula has followed up that first victory in the Sybase Classic, New York, with wins at the Evian Masters in France, the NEC Open and the Masters GC Ladies’ Classic (both in Japan), the SBS Open and the Fields Open (both in Hawaii), the Mitchell Company LPGA Tournament of Champions and the SemGroup Championship, Oklahoma.

Paula has also represented America in the Solheim Cup, helping her country to a great win against Europe in 2005 and 2007.

Paula is one of the youngest players on the professional tour and one of the best. She is currently number six in the world.

Paula takes a keen interest in junior golf and has taken part in many clinics. She also hosts an annual fundraising event called Paula4Kids in Florida.
