A SALJGA team comprising 12 of our younger members, primarily without handicaps, participated in a friendly match against Cupar GC Juniors on the Balgove on Sunday morning in very blustery conditions.
Everybody played off scratch but handicaps were applied as necessary to keep all the matches close.
The intent was to start swinging early in the season and to wet everyone’s appetite for the upcoming golf season once the distractions of football, hockey and rugby have finished.
SALJGA was represented by Sophie Maguire, Kirsty Graham, Luke Wiseman, Scott Reid, Jack Wookey, Nicholas Head, Aimee Rigg, Emma Graham, Keith Bowman, Cain Cronin, Charlotte Downie and Mikayla Head.
Everyone played very well athough the shot of the day undoubtedly belongs to Aimee Rigg who chipped in on the last for a 2 and to tie her match.
SALJGA are looking forward to the return match in Cupar in September.
