On a fine and breezy afternoon over the Jubilee SALJGA built upon their 2 ½ – 1 ½ lead from the first leg to post a 3 ½ - ½ win and hence a 6-2 win overall.
The team was captained by Dan Bones in his final game for SALJGA and partnered by Callum Graham, posted some blue on the board early on with a 4 and 2 victory over Cameron West and Paul McGregor.
Rachel Hanlon and Matt Bones played extremely well together as a team and continued the winning ways by securing the trophy with a 3 and 2 win against Conell McKenna and SALJGA renegade David Ford.
Ruairidh Robertson and late replacement Tom Flanagan fought from 4 down at the 11th to earn a fighting half against Jordon McColl and Dean Cormack and Stuart McMillan and debutant Blair Morrison kept their heads to win by 2 against Stuart Adamson and Scot Imrie.
This impressive performance marks the end of a very successful season for Team SALJGA who have remained undefeated throughout the season and will prove a tough act to follow next year.
