The first two rounds of this scratch competition were played over the Eden and the Jubilee. After a cut to the top nine, the competition continued on the New and the last round was played on the Old on Friday evening.
Iain held the lead from the first round and increased his advantage during the week with four very impressive rounds returning scores of 72, 75, 73 and 74. Although there were rounds of 74 recorded by Andrew Whyte and Ewan Scott, nobody was able to match the consistency displayed by Iain who was presented with the trophy in the gathering gloom of the evening in front of the R&A and witnessed by an impressive number of appreciative spectators.
