Although the sun was shining the cold temperatures prevented any thaw and the courses remained closed throughout the day.
The Ardley Salver will not be played this year and the next competition for the Winter Coaching Group will be the Renwick Trophy scheduled for 29 March 2009 on the New Course.
SALJGA intend to organise a replacement Balgove competition on 29 March 2009.
