The first round was played in awful conditions with low cloud, sea fog and rain showers which tested everyone’s resolve and rain gear. The second day saw the return of summer for the round on the Eden and Alan’s impressive score of 77 gross, gave him a 4 shot win over the 2 rounds.
Alexandra Tait kept her game together over the two days to win the Girls Mini-Tour Strokeplay Championship by a shot from Chloe Goadby.
The girls event was reduced to a 27 hole competition due to the appalling weather on the first day. The girls had later tee times than the boys and suffered the worst of the weather.
The standings after the first day were identical to the results of the second round and so the first nine holes have not been recorded in the overall result.
