Ex SGU Coach Spenecer Henderson brought a team of promising young Turkish golfers to St Andrews last month and they had an enjoyable game against a SALJGA team on the Eden Course.  SALJGA won the match on a very cold day but everyone enjoyed the occasion.

St Andrews University Bursars 'Steal' the Dunvegan Cup27/02/2013

A team made up largely of golfers from the St Andrews University Golf Development Programme played SALJGA on Sunday over the New Course in excellent February weather. The students managed a closely fought victory to win the Dunvegan Cup that SALJGA held after their victory the previous year.

SALJGA member Ewan Scott will be coming home with a gold medal from the Australian Youth Olympic Festival after winning the team gold along with Blairgowrie’s Bradley Neil, England’s Georgina Hall and Chloe Williams from Wales.

This prestigious event starts with an opening ceremony in Sydney tomorrow, January 16th and features 5 days of elite youth sport.
